How to convert gigabytes to megabytes

One gigabyte equals 1,000 megabytes, so multiply the number of gigabytes by 1,000:

MB = GB × 1,000
GB = MB ÷ 1,000 (1 MB = 0.001 GB)

Example: 4.7 GB → 4.7 × 1,000 = 4,700 MB.

Going the other way, divide by 1,000, or multiply by 0.001; the megabytes to gigabytes converter does it for you.
