How to convert metres to centimetres

One metre equals 100 centimetres, so multiply the number of metres by 100:

cm = m × 100
m = cm ÷ 100 (1 cm = 0.01 m)

Example: 0.5 m → 0.5 × 100 = 50 cm.

Going the other way, divide by 100, or multiply by 0.01; the centimetres to metres converter does it for you.
