How to convert inches to metres
One inch equals 0.0254 metres, so multiply the number of inches by 0.0254:
m = in × 0.0254
in = m ÷ 0.0254 (1 m = 39.3701 in)
Example: 12 in → 12 × 0.0254 = 0.3048 m.
Going the other way, divide by 0.0254, or multiply by 39.3701; the metres to inches converter does it for you.
